Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of our program. All members agree to respect privacy and create a safe, judgment-free environment.
Group therapy combines professional guidance with peer support. You’ll not only learn strategies from the therapist, but also gain insights, accountability, and encouragement from others who share similar experiences.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous at first. You’re welcome to share only what you’re comfortable with, at your own pace. Many people find that simply listening to others helps them feel less alone and over time, most participants naturally open up as trust builds.
That’s okay. If you find it’s not the right fit, our team can guide you toward individual therapy or other resources better suited to your needs.
Group Therapy Confidentiality & Privacy Agreement

- Confidentiality
- What is shared in group stays in group.
- Do not repeat or share another participant’s story, name, or details outside of sessions.
- You are welcome to talk about what you learned, but not about what others have said.
- Respectful Communication
- Listen without judgment when someone is speaking.
- Avoid interrupting; allow everyone a chance to share.
- Speak from your own experience - use “I” statements rather than giving advice.
- Privacy & Boundaries
- Do not pressure anyone to share more than they are comfortable with.
- Respect personal boundaries (emotional and physical).
- Remember: participation is encouraged, but how much you share is always your choice.
- Group Safety
- No recording, photos, or screenshots are allowed during sessions.
- Please join from a private, quiet space when attending virtually to protect the group’s confidentiality.
- If you recognize someone outside the group, respect their privacy and do not mention group participation.
- Responsibility
- Everyone shares the responsibility of creating a safe and supportive space.
- Breaches of confidentiality may result in being asked to leave the group.
